La storia più antica della famiglia Talenti è stata raccontata nel 2005 da Andrea Gabrielli nel libro edito da Veronelli “Pierluigi Talenti – L’altro Brunello”. Una piccola biografia che raccoglie le storia di Pierluigi Talenti, fondatore dell’Azienda Agricola Talenti di Montalcino e precursore della moderna rinascita del Brunello. Dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e il ritorno alla normalità, Piero – così chiamato dagli amici – si trasferisce in Toscana e dopo 40 anni di esperienza nel settore agricolo prende in gestione il Podere Pian di Conte, dove sorge l’Azienda Talenti. Pierluigi Talenti si è reso capace di sovvertire e reinventare lo stereotipo del produttore di Brunello, così lontano dal suo modo di essere, ed ha saputo affrontare con lucidità e buonsenso l’ascesa incontrastata di questo vino. Questa è la sua eredità tramandata ai posteri, in primis al nipote Riccardo ora alla guida di questa importante realtà toscana. Oggi è proprio Riccardo Talenti a metterci a parte della sua esperienza ventennale nella Cantina, non con un libro ma con dei video che anno per anno raccontano il momento più importante per ogni realtà vinicola: la vendemmia. Già sui canali social è stato condiviso il video che narra di quella prima vendemmia senza il capostipite Piero che ha lasciato i suoi cari in un momento simbolico, il 9 settembre 1999, appena quattro giorni prima dell’inizio della raccolta. Il percorso di Riccardo Talenti inizia da quel giorno: appena diplomato, con poca esperienza ma con tanta voglia di seguire la strada da lui tracciata. Il 1999 è stato per lui un anno indelebile che segna la sua crescita, il suo ingresso ufficiale nel mondo del vino. Quella è stata un’annata a quattro stelle ed è stato solo l’inizio…

The oldest story of the Talenti family was told in 2005 by Andrea Gabrielli in his book edited by Veronelli “Pierluigi Talenti-L’altro Brunello”.
It is a small biography that tells the story of Pierluigi Talenti, founder of the winery Talenti in Montalcino and pioneer of the modern Brunello’s rebirth.After the World War II and the return to normality, Piero- so called by his friends- moved to Tuscany and after 40 years of experience in the agricultural industry he took over the management of the Podere Pian di Conte, where the winery Talenti is located. Pierluigi Talenti has been capable of subvert and reinvent the stereotype of the Brunello’s producer, that was too far from his way of being , and he could face with lucidity and good judgment the undisputed rise of this wine.
This is his legacy, passed on to the next generation: first of all to his grandson Riccardo that now leads this important Tuscan reality. Today it is Riccardo Talenti to share his 20 years long experience in the winery, not through a book but with some videos that, year after year, tell us the most important moment for each and every winery: the harvest. On the social networks it has been already uploaded the video that narrates the story of that first harvest without the grandfather Pietro that passed away on a very symbolic moment, the 9th of September of the year 1999, just four days after the start of the grapes’ collection. Riccardo Talenti’s path started that day: he had just got his high school degree, he had a little experience but also the great aim to follow his grandfather’s path, that was already traced. The 1999 was for him, a memorable year that marked his growth, his official entry into the wine world. That was a four stars year and it was just the beginning…
