Hidden Bodies
Solo exhibit by Margherita Serra
The Italian American Museum will celebrate Women’s History Month with “The Feminine Mystique: Hidden Bodies,” an exhibition by Italian sculptor Margherita Serra which features reliefs of marble corsets inspired by Matera’s sassi, the world-famous ancient limestone cave dwellings in the southern region of Basilicata.

Talk by Alfred M. Zappalà, Esq. and Eszter Vajda

Alfred Zappalà and Eszter Vajda will speak about their television series entitled, “You, Me and Sicily” along with current developments in the island and provide an update on “The Sicilian Project”, a special program whose purpose is to bring English language classes to Sicilian students.

WE THE ITALIANS
Presented by Umberto Mucci
Author Umberto Mucci presents his book entitled, We The Italians, Two Flags One Heart: One Hundred Interviews”. The book is a selection of the best 100 interviews conducted over a period of four years by the author, either in the US or in Italy, for the online platform, “We The Italians”. Each interview is a tiny brick of the wall that shows that when Italy and the US meet and work together, the outcome is wonderful and several good things happen.
Dr. Joseph V. Scelsa, Founder and President of the Italian American Museum; Maria Teresa Cometto, Author of the Exhibition, “Make in Italy. 50 Years of Italian Innovation”; Berardo Paradiso, President of IACE, Italian American Committee on Education; Anna Lisa Liuzzo, lawyer and member of the Board of Directors of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce; and Stephen A. Briganti, President and CEO of the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation will join the author.
