You are cordially invited to attend a special program on Le Marche region of Italy at the Italian American Museum tomorrow evening, September 24th. Le Marche region is a little treasure still unknown to most foreigners. The New York Times and The Guardian enthusiastically described it as “the new Tuscany”, but it has its own strong geographical and cultural identity.
The region boasts a highly diversified landscape, with blue mountains, sandy and pebbly beaches, and ancient hilltop villages. It also offers the highest density of museums and art galleries in Italy. Its industrious people did not turn the territory into an “amusement park” for tourists; that is why in Le Marche visitors can still find the heart of Italian beauty.
Dr. Mauro Peroni will illustrate what makes the region and its people so unique, the program will include the screening of a documentary on Le Marche's extraordinary historical and artistic heritage, as well as a wine and food tasting. Brochures will be given to attendees.
The event is sponsored by the regional Department of Culture.
