Si informano i connazionali che Mercoledi` 29 Aprile il Comites di Houston con il Centro Culturale Italiano di Houston (ICCC) e con il Patrocinio del Consolato Generale d'Italia organizza una serata artistico culturale presso l`Universita` di St Thomas al 3909 Graustark Houston .
Dopo la presentazione sul”Futurismo” diretta dal Prof.Carrera, ci sara' un concerto di beneficienza dedicato alle popolazioni colpite dal terremoto in Abruzzo, con il Basso-Baritono Andrea Silvestrelli accompagnato dalla pianista Jo Anne Ritacca Maestro
Under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy, the Comites of Houston and the Italian Cultural and Community Center, in cooperation with the University of St. Thomas, organize a wonderful evening dedicated to Italian culture on Wednesday, April 29th.
The first part will be a lecture on Futurism by Prof. Alessandro Carrera, director of Italian Studies at the University of Houston, on the occasion of the centennial of the Manifesto del Futurismo, published by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in 1909; after a short reception, a concert of Mr Andrea Silvestrelli will take place, in order to benefit the victims of the earthquake in the Italian city of L'Aquila. Mr Silvestrelli, one of the most sought-after 'bassi profondi” on the opera scene, now performing in “Rigoletto” with the Houston Grand Opera, will be accompanied by the pianist Jo Anne Ritacca, vocal coach at the Moores School of Music.
