Festa Italiana 2008
WASHINGTON, DC – June 2, 2008 – Festa Italiana 2008 – Washington's only street festival welcoming others to experience Italian culture – will be held on Sunday, June 29, from 11:30 – 5:30 pm in the vicinity of the Holy Rosary Church and Casa Italiana (3rd and F St. NW). All are welcome to celebrate Festa Italiana's 10th Anniversary!
This year's Festa will feature Rome, located in the Italian region of Lazio, and offer festival-goers to experience the streets and “piazze” of Rome as they enjoy a lively Italian-inspired atmosphere filled with musical performances, homemade Italian food from outstanding local restaurants, events for adults and children alike, and exciting raffles featuring concert tickets and other prizes.
Washington will also be invaded by the 20th Legion of Rome- an historically-acurate recreation of the uniforms, practices, and tools of the Roman Army.
Admission to all events is free for all and all are sure to enjoy an authentically Italian experience.
