President Obama spoke by phone with Prime Minister Matteo Renzi of Italy this evening from Malaysia to discuss counterterrorism cooperation and the counter-ISIL campaign. Both leaders reiterated their unwavering commitment to defeat ISIL, end the conflict in Syria, and ensure we are doing all we can to protect our citizens from terrorist threats.
