Old Man Max's Cabbage Patch
by
Carolann Nicotra
A worm who loves pizza and Italian ices? That's the premise (along with the “there's no place like home” moral) of Carolann Nicotra's first book, “Old Man Max's Cabbage Patch”. Old Man Max's Cabbage Patch is a children's book about a worm who leaves his patch with a grasshopper to go out and “taste” the world – and it was love at first bite when he tasted Italian ices and pizza but he was still hurting inside, and he realized that it was his heart that longed for home.
