Jeju Island expects more than 15,000 Chinese tourists to visit over the course of the next year to see the island’s famous sites, like Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) and enjoy cultural activities.
The city of Jeju is working to improve transportation and medical services for visitors, as well as expand promotions for Chinese tourists.
Jeju is also striving to create and enhance its tourist offerings, such as its new “Artistic Road”. The 2.4km road links the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art with a variety of scenic and cultural spots, and features several public artworks along the route, which will open in August.
